Diagrammed out my current fault codes. Need to look into the ignition lock solenoid one but I think I’m on the right track with the rear diff.

Replaced the rear diff lock actuator assembly. Old one was seized up...definitely toast. Unfortunately no change. I am running out of ideas!

Does anybody know what wires I should check to ensure the rear diff is getting power?

I am also wondering if I need to revisit the transfer case module? It had just a tad of corrosion on the 9 pin plug. Opened it up and everything looked good visually. I might get a used one just to rule it out.

Broke down and took Boris to the local indie British auto repair shop. They informed me the rear diffs require a full lock and back calibration, but they don’t have the software to do it.

They sent me to the local LR dealer and they reported the same needs to be done. Today they told me it just needed a diff and air suspension calibration and all my errors are gone! Will be getting it back tomorrow!

Another reason for the iid tool from Gap Diagnostics. My guess is for what the dealer charges you you could have bought the tool. Got a bit better diagnostics than you had and done the calibrations with having to go anywhere. I have no affiliation with gap but the tool has saved me thousands of dollars.

I would still be walking home from the Tahuya State Forest if not for my GAP Tool....

Boris is 100% error free! I am beyond stoked.

I am laughing at all these post supporting GAP....I don’t know how with all of my research I missed the overwhelming support for the GAP tool!

Iland had a “motor replacement” function but no idea what motor it is for until it’s trying to calibrate the transfer case which after running the calibration it couldn’t shift from 4 low to 4 hi. I returned the iland since it didn’t live up to my expectations in several areas (still had to go to dealer, 4+ hours of troubleshooting the iland, internet connection needed to verify license every time, no instructions, only 1 year of updates for clearly buggy Chinese software to name a few) and will be getting the GAP instead. Thanks all!
