Have you tried cleaning out the valve box, first? I did it to mine and it seemed okay with a little bit of white residue. The kit is cheap enough to go for it as well. For me, it ended up being the compressor. I had to replace it. It was fairly easy to do. It was work him well and then I added Johnson rods and as I was driving it, the car dropped to no suspension and gave me the red suspension fault error so it’s back to drawing board.

Ditch the rods....check your calibration. See if that helps.

So I finished taking the headlights apart again and painting the interior pieces black gloss with wheel and rim paint. This seemed to be the best reflective choice. I decided against another type/set of DRL's as I didn't like the look once everything was painted black. I also removed the previously placed black tint, as I think it doesn't need it on the HL's anymore.
All lights shine great even the amber signal light bulbs, which I took a dremel and cut out the amber lens in front of the Turn signal bulb, now amber. You can't even tell the difference when the blinker is on whether it has a lens or not.
Oh and a word of caution, do not try to clean the chrome finish off of the plastic pieces in the headlight assm if you do this, all of the silver comes off in chunks, as I unfortunately found out, causing more sanding with 800 grit wet/dry paper than I wanted.

Can you post a wider pic, showing the entire LR3 with its new face?

Just checking back... Yes I will be out on the truck tonight, to line up some new to install 6" LED light strips. I will do a full walk around with varying lights.
Let me know what you think and don't be shy, LOL If it looks Crap say so, I'm a big boy. Should have taken more photos when I did it but had limited time, but if you want something explained I can word it out.

Post tonight or probably tomorrow early.

So here's the pics. Didnt want glare so took at dusk
Hi Beams.jpg Low Beams.jpg Lt Turn.jpg Turn Right cornering.jpg

I was very happy with the way the turn signals look with a gloss black reflective painted back and a missing amber lens. You can hardly tell ther is no amber lens, but it sure makes a difference in the day time not seeing that big amber tango lens.

I wish in the Old Dominion (Virginia) we have to have a front and back plate.
Even on my 1966 Scout with 66 plates they are required. Got pulled in the Scout and the cop told me I couldn't run 1966 plates. I love educating law enforcement.

Maybe I will "loose" it on the road after my State Inspection in July. Anyone else running no plate in VA. They are pretty uptight about tinted lights too, one reason I did the blackout cause them ducks have no idea what year LR headlights looks like.

Appreciate the review, it did take some effort but what else was I going to do with my time?
