Ok. This might be premature, but I dumped in the can of BG44 yesterday, morning, filled up, and used the vehicle for the day. Breakfast, short run with the trailer attached, longer drive to get dinner later in the day. No CEL, no restricted performance, no long crank while starting from hot, no rough idle, and no hesitation. I’ve only gone through a 1/8 tank yet and it FEELS like it’s worked. This is after trying a Lucas fuel system cleaner, and several tanks using Lucas upper cyl lubricant/injector cleaner, which didn’t have any noticeable effect. I’ll post an update when I get through the tank.

Not yet. Haven’t been using it as much as usual, kid home sick, second vehicle, not quite to the half yet, but the CEL has not come back and no restricted performance warnings. Still has a bit of a rough idle at times, but otherwise running fine. :-/

So the BG44 was not magic in a bottle for me. Still getting restricted performance warning. Ordered and received two HPFP’s. Be putting them in over the next couple weeks.

Well, that took longer than 2 weeks, since June, I picked up an Audi Q7 as a second vehicle, which came with it's own list of problems, and used the LR4 infrequently. I finally got around to doing the fuel pumps. Took a few hours, and did it through the passenger wheel well. Disconnect the battery + terminal. The hot cable from the Alt will be dangling where you're wrenching and spilled fuel from the fuel lines, not a good combo. Removed fender liner, alternator, ground cable, skid plate, and there was enough access. A DIY I found suggested not draining the oil first, so I didn't, but I ended up losing about 1/2 liter on the floor. Without a lift, it's tight, I could get some light, a hand, or eyes on them, but not all three at once lol. Didn't replace the fuel lines. Can say it was a success. Runs as good as it ever did, no CEL, no restricted performance. I'll hook up my tool and log some data on fuel pressure and compare it to the before info, see if there is a difference.
