Hey guys

My LR3 HS did not come with the lighting package. So, I don't have the factory plastic that has the little holes for the factory fog lights. I was thinking of getting the two new pieces for the front bumper that would house the fog lights, and then getting factory fog lights, etc. Has anyone done this upgrade? Will it all seem "stock" afterwards?

Thank you for any info

i too just recently looked into doing this to my truck. from what i figured out, replacing the entire front bumper is required along with finding the rest of the stock fog light housings and wiring... along with the painful task of running the wire through the cars tough firewall and installing a new switch for the light.

i gave up since it looks like a shitload of work and i didnt want it that bad... if you figure something out, please share.

From what I read, it's a little less work than that. It seems you just pull off the front bumper piece, and then you drill the holes for the fog lights. They are marked on the opposite side of the bumper, and there are mounting tabs for the lights already on the bumper. Then you connect 1 wiring harness and replace the factory headlight switch.

I didn't read anything about running wire through the firewall. The above links have a good photo that makes it seem easy. But who knows. :)

Yes that is how I understand it also. Just remember that when you hook the loom up it may be on the passenger side for us in the states rather then the driver side as stated in the post. Everything is not reversed with the steering wheel.

Let us know how it goes.

Just another note. I think that we may not have to order the new headlight switch. My headlight switch pulls out, and when I pull it out it puts a little indicator light on the dashboard that is orange, shows a light with some haze in front of it, so I would think this is the fog light switch?

Or at least my LR3 is like this.

I am going to do this, will take photos, and let you guys know. The only thing that worries me is taking the bumper off, I've no idea how.

for removing the bumper ( i havent done this personally ) but im pretty sure both headlamps need to come off, the easy click in center grill comes off then the rest is just screws and bolts surrounding the whole bumper from top and bottom.. looking on ebay at used bumpers for sale might also give you a better understanding where the mounts are located and what part you are actually taking off.
