Are the LR3 SE's the only ones with an AUX input, only in the back center console? I can't seem to find one located in the front near the radio. Seems kinda ******** only to have one in the back...unless they assume its just for headphones only, but then why would they have an AUX button on the radio? lol

I have a 2005 LR3 HSE and the aux is at the rear of the centre console. I plug in my Itouch, hit the "aux" button on the front of the radio and I now have a wide selection of tunes..

Actually, I love that location. You simply plug a Belkin into the lighter back there and make the jack to jack connection. The iPod connect wire runs up between the seats and I never have to see wires in front of me. I drove a rental Camry last week with the AUX input in the front, and it was just a mess. Just a preference thing, I guess.

I see what you mean about the wires. Having one up front would be nice, I think they could have located it accordingly out of the way...maybe in the lighter spot. But I do hate having wires everywhere.

I had an accessory cable run from the back of the stereo to come out of the center console (at the base near the carpet, in line with the passenger seat rails), so that I can have a true iPod/iPhone interface with 100% signal strength as well as recharging ability. Works great, and was under $100 to install, including the cable. I don't have the specifics on the cable, I just told the stereo shop what I wanted and a few hours later I was a happy camper.

nwoods,

is this a photo of your truck? its a 2005? just wondering why your center console controls are different from my 2006... i see there is no dial for the terrain presets by the yellow hill decent button nor is there the air suspension switch....

nwoods has a rare (to the US market) non-air suspension - thus no need for the switches...
