Could it be your belt rotating and giving off a ticking sound (rubber belt)? I had the stealer replace mine just before the warrenty/free maintenance ended on my '03 SE-7. They should be replaced before the 4 year period/ 70,000 KM IIRC. Look in your service schedule book.
Unfortunatly I need to get to work ... 45 Km one way. I found an independant LR shop that was able to do the job within a few hours. He is a lot cheaper than the stealer .... and located about a mile from my office.
He is located in Brampton Ontario, Canada ... close to Toronto. Disco...
Update ... seems it is leaking between the two housings on the Power Steering Pump on the bottom side. Looks like there is a gasket there. Guess I'll have to replace the pump.:frown:
Folks ... I have a leak somewhere around the pump. I have replaced the low pressure hose as it seemed to be leaking from there after I cleaned the area. Started almost overnight. It's still leaking. Seems to leak more when I shut the Disco 2 (2003) off and it sits for an hour or more. It's...
I have been using synthetic oil in most of my vehicles over the past 20 years with no issues. Does not matter switching back or forth .... just that synthetic will protect more so than Dino oil. Synthetic was designed for extreme duty for the Military. So doing a lot of short runs is...
Folks ... I upgraded my H7 low beams with a 6500K HID kit from here ->http://www.cqlight.ca/ for 179.99 US. It took about a week & half to get here ... no tax or Duty. It was easy to install and required one hole on each side (23mm) to be drilled in the access cover for the lights. This was to...
I got 4 geolanders installed for $912 CDN including taxes (15%) ....
No problems so far ... did it 2 1/2 years ago! Great in 95% of the situations to date. Snow tires would be better in severe winter conditions. Other than that, I am happy with them.
Try rotating the pump nozzel 90 degrees ... that sometimes helps with certain stations equipment. I have run into this in the past with a few Sunoco & Shell stations with older pumps.
Some (as in Canada) have a clip and bolt that needs to be installed behind the 2nd row seats. The dealers usually leave it in a plastic bag in one of the bins. It needs to be bolted in ... at least that's with my03.
Yup ... need to clean it up.
I just had the stealer fix mine ... see my link. Oilf filter had a crack and sprayed oil. They corrected and made sure all was ok.
