Yep. That's why I'm likely to spring for the black design pack myself and get the extended satin rails factory installed. I figure if I hate the black rims, the only part of that package I question and will have to judge in person, I can always sell them.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned but...
I got burned by this roof rail thing back when they dropped it as standard equipment back to the States in 2010. Back then you had to know to request it on the order even though there was no check box for it. It costs more than twice as much to have it installed by the dealer as at the factory...
2008. The gap was probably 3/4 of an inch. they had to replace the whole mirror and they said the mirror itself was defective, it wasn't an installation issue with the original mirror.
yep. that's exactly it! my loaner 2008 LR3 makes the same noise and the dealer has to quell every new owners fear about it. you can tell they are very tired of that question.
I have the loaner because unfortunately, the driver's side outside mirror has a BIG gap between it and the...
final thoughts on this. Heard back from SCC, they recommended 441's instead of 447's. got a pair and they seem to fit fine on the fronts so the 447's are going back.
well, SCC never has replied to any of my messages. I ended up getting a size larger size (SZ 447) because the tensioner belt would never hook on to more than 3 spots it was stretched so tightly on the SZ 435 (I had to deflate the front tires to ~31 lbs. to get this to work). Now the 447 is large...
grommet: I can connect the inside and the top links, but the bottom fasteners only come within 2" or so of each other. It's like the chains over the tread aren't wide enough. One thing I didn't check though is the tire pressure. It's possible that the dealer inflated the front tires to the same...
OK, I ordered and received a set of SCC Super Z6 SZ-435 chains, which were recommend for 255/55/R19 tires... and of course they don't fit. This is the second time I've gone through this with SCC chains for LR's, the first recommended set I got for my RRS didn't fit either. Guess I should have...
Hey all...
just got a 2008 LR3 HSE, coming from a 2006 Range Rover Sport, yes, some will think I'm crazy, but except for the slightly more nimble behavior of the Sport, I prefer the LR3. Go figure.
Anyway, my new LR3 presents a lot of ticking noise coming from underneath. These are...
so those of you with FlexTrax Go Claws: for the HSE (255/55/R19) do you find that the size recommend, T43-6-1, fits as advertised? and do they fit on the front?
thanks!
Go take a look at a 2008 in person and I think you'll see that the new "luxury package" interior is more than minor. Saw one yesterday and it's a bit RRS-like with the soft leather seats. I think they also added powered steering column adjustment in the U.S. for 2008.
With the new changes I...
