    I don't have any useful input on welding vs replacing, etc, but if its a matter of just physically transporting the car somewhere else, is it not possible to put the parts in a box or two in the back, and have it flatbed'ed to another shop or welder ? I assume the body hasn't been lifted off...

    Gotcha. My concern was more if I'm feeding +12 back into the output of the BCM (I'm assuming BCM is controlling lights). Didn't think of LED tape, that might be the way to go.

    Thanks, I didn't even think of that. I did e-mail the original CCF to myself before I started messing with anything. My original was indeed WBL. In the original, I also had TPMS fitted to spare set to yes, which I failed to turn back on. I'll give that a try in the morning and see if it fixes...

    Based on that repair order, I can't tell if the actual chain were replaced, or just the guides/tensioners. If the chains were not replaced, one possibility is that the chain itself has "stretched" -- of course, the chain doesn't really stretch, but wear at the link pins results in a situation...

    2016 definitely uses 433 Mhz. I believe the switch on the LR4 happened for the 2013 model year. It looks like LR3 uses 315 Mhz for all years (https://www.roverparts.com/wheels-tires/tire-pressure-sensors/LR032836/ ) so I don't think you'll be able to use those sensors.

    I can see the advantage of always having it there.... I just figure if I'm going somewhere to charge, I can throw the charging unit in the car. I am lucky enough to have a garage. I'm guessing those 100W panels aren't putting out anywhere near that under 20W fluorescent bulbs though

    Ahh, you're thinking to mount the CTEK in the car. I was just wanting to leave the "ComfortConnect" plug (its like an updated version of the commonly used SAE plug) hanging out the front and not keep the charger itself under the hood.
