"Air suspension in customer service mode." Means the suspension was put in the tight tolerance mode, possibly for an alignment.
There's a manual way to put the vehicle into tight tolerance mode. With a series of brake pedal presses etc . This may have been inadvertently done at some time.
The door ajar switches are built into each latch. A scan tool that can monitor data pids will indicate which switch is defective.
Modules that are replaced, will need to be programmed. That way they can " talk" to each other.
Definitely the crank seal leaking.
The flywheel will need to be locked to remove the crankshaft bolt.
To remove the crankshaft bolt, I use a 3/4" breaker bar from Northern Tools.
The part # you listed is the correct part from JLR.
DO NOT use any petroleum based lubricants when installing the cap. The o-ring will swell up.
Sadly, aluminum pipes for the normally aspirated engines.
Make sure that the bushing at the gear shift lever is ok.
Move the selector lever on the gearbox fully forward and release it. The lever will return to the 'P' position.
