    Ruling out the possibilities

After leaving my Landy in the drive way for 30 minutes . . . I came out to a shattered sunroof . . . . I believe I know what caused this, but wanted to post to see if anyone else had experienced a gremlin similar to this . . .

    Sway bar disconnects

@Mack73 . . . . That was the reason for my original post . . . sway bar discos are used on a lot OE "offroad" option packages these days. . . trucks, Jeeps, IFS, solid axle . . . . just wondered it anyone had ever tried it on the Landies. I can see where with too much droop the upper A...

    Sway bar disconnects

During my recent intimate time spent with my LR's suspension, was wondering if anyone has attempted to sway disconnects. I could see where it would open up some additional travel. Anyone ever try it on the LR3?

    Suspension raising slowly message

I installed the spacers and the adjustable rods that come with the kit. Seems more plausible that the tank was depleted (I installed new struts front and rear, so I started "empty"). The suspension never dropped to the bumps. I also got the warning message about system cooling, so it's...

    Projector headlights

I'm going to try a record some video to better illustrate what I'm experiencing. The brights are awesome, the low beams just seem . . . Abnormal. I get terrible side of the road viz at night too. Maybe the video will help show what I'm trying to discribe. Just have to figure out how everyone...

Dual Battery Install with Traxide 160

Nicely done, I'm considering something similar as my project moves forward.

    Suspension raising slowly message

I'm a bit baffled by this message. Just installed the Toddco lift, rear raises as normal, front is super slow . . . . Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? I've checked for leaks and pinches, nothing. Thanks to all.

    Projector headlights

Trynian, I've had the rover for about a year now. Maybe the abrupt stopping point is what I'm not used to. That said, still seems to be abnormal . . they folks at the shop say it's fine. I may just buy one replacement light assembly and see if it makes a difference (a little spendy for a...

    Making the LR3 trail ready

I'm not in disagreement re: 33's vs 32's . . . at this point, it's a wish list "target". I'm not sure I'll be able to run a 33, the way I want to without creating some other problems. I need to get everything installed and play on an RTI ramp to see just how much I gain, lose and can fit.

    Making the LR3 trail ready

Houm_WA . . . . truth is, I want to see if I can make it work. I've been a "professional" in the automotive aftermarket for years, have gotten to know a lot of people and suppliers. The mod bug runs rampant in my head, everything I own or have owned has been mod'd in some form or fashion...

    Making the LR3 trail ready

Houm_WA . . . I put the spacers on to widen the track at bit. While the 285's are wider than OE, I didn't like how they stuck inside the wheel arches. Just a personal preference thing. I sort of bought them on an impulse, then found out that I can get custom backspaces from Fuel (MHT...

    Making the LR3 trail ready

When I bought my LR3, it needed tires. I didn't want to put the factory size back on it and decided to buy the 285/60 Nittos because I wasn't sure I wanted to rely on the rod-mod kits. Not that I don't think the rod-mod kits are good, tons of people are using them. I just wanted to try...

    Making the LR3 trail ready

Not sure I understand what you mean. I have the Nittos and the 30mm wheel spacers already installed. The 2" Toddco is a suspension lift.

@tlt, do you like the Devon winch mount? It's on my wish list.

    hydraulic system rumbles loud!

Just a guess, maybe the compressor is loose. Once the bags get up to pressure, the compressor stops which may be why the rattling stops after it "warms up". Also, the suspension system is pneumatic, not hydraulic. . . but I understood what you meant.

    Making the LR3 trail ready

Short list thus far . . . . First mod: Tires, Nitto Grapplers Second mod: Lights, LED fog/flood lights Third mod: 30mm wheel spacers Fourth mod: Front Runner rear ladder (not really a trail mod, but I couldn't reach the top) Fifth mod: Toddco 2" spacer lift (en route) Also carry a...

Looking for a BRIT PART EAS Controller

I ran into the same issue (aftermarket parts). There are a couple of pretty good sites out there . . . Lucky 8 is good (except why so many flashlights?) I also get parts from BPUTAH, RoverParts (AtlanticBritish, I believe). A lot of the enthusiasts on this forum are a great resource for...

    Searching for a roof rack

Don't know if you're looking for a full rack or not but you may want to look at Front Runner Outfitters. They make a super low profile rack (more of a platform than a basket). Recently emailed them about their mounting options . . . . they don't mount to the factory track, you have to swap...

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

Welcome to the "rather get it dirty than keep it clean" crowd! Looks like a blast. We don't get much wet stuff out here in Colorado. . . .at least not until late spring when the high country trails open up.
