You may drive you car "properly," and therefore your transmission doesn't re-learn its bad habits. Previously on this board, people have suggested that driving the vehicle "hard" for a period of time stops the hesitation--perhaps that is the "right" kind of driving. Perhaps some sort of...
My understanding is that re-flashing the ECU will fix it. But if you (or the other person who drives the vehicle) drive in a particular manner, you can cause the vehicle to "re-learn" the hesitation.
I feel no bump when I turn the terrain response knob. So, when I am entering a town or city with a lot of stopsigns or lights, I switch to GGS (so that I don't experience the lash). And, when I return to the highway, I switch it back to normal.
I have had all the transmission ECU updates in my 2005 LR3 SE7, and the "rolling stop" transmission lash has never really gone away. BUT, and I apologize if someone has already posted this on this website, if you put the truck into SNOW/GRASS mode, the lash completely goes away. And, you can...
Unless you want 7 real seats. That was actually a major reason I bought my LR3 in December 2004. Since then the Mazda CX-9 and Buick Enclave have presented reasonably affordable, realistic 7 seaters; but then you are essentially confessing that you are never leaving the pavement.
I think if you hold down lock/unlock in the car, it "pops" the tailgate so it can be opened from inside. It is an emergency escape measure. I guess the fob can do it too?
No problem. It was interesting to find out (although I guess I should have known it already) from the Maxell package that once the CD player is so smudged it won't accept a CD, you can't fix it. I intend to use the Maxell repair disk often now--before problems occur. I just ran it in my other...
It worked!
The product was the Maxell Dry Automobile CD Lens Cleaner. It has three tracks: 1 and 3 are music and 2 is the cleaner track, with brushes attached. Because the CD changer would not recognize CDs, it took a 2 hour drive on Saturday for the player to finally accept the cleaner CD...
I get an "invalid disk" warning on my 6-CD changer in my 2005 SE7; and the stereo kicks out the disk. At first, this was an intermittent problem solved by cleaning the CD. Now, it happens virtually every time I insert a CD.
Anyone else have this problem? I assume I'll have to have the...
I just had the same 52,500 mile checkup. North of $200 including the fluids that needed to be added and the local fluid disposal fees. I take it to the dealer because I believe that they are less likely than a local shop to screw it up in some colossal way. And, even though I am somewhat of a...
Is it just me, or do the GY's pick up an inordinate number of nails? I've had a few. I wonder if it is a function of tread design or softness of the tire surface.
My LR3 with alpaca leather is 3 years and 4 mos old (53,000 miles); I have treated it every 2-3 mos with the 2 step Zymol cleaner and conditioner. No problems so far, which I attribute to the Zymol products. Of course, my leather is the early, non-"premium" leather, which appears to be...
For some reason the Goodyear tires seem (to me) especially prone to punctures--I've had a few including a sidewall. But, on the bright side, I've had so much practice that I just changed my last tire two weeks ago from start to finish in 12 minutes with the stock jack.....:-) Maybe LR should...
Same problem here today in NJ. I had the Scorpion Zeros last year and they were very good. I unfortunately returned to the Goodyears because the Pirellis wore out very quickly and were on back order when they did so. The Goodyears were absolutely terrible today.
On my 2005 SE7, I have to press a button on both headrest stems. One is the usual one for raising the headrest, the other is smaller and needs small fingers or an implement. And you also have to pull up. It is easiest for me with someone helping.
I have an 05 SE to which I have added the full size spare only.
Isn't there a lock/unlock indicator on the info screen on the nav box in the HSE (showing graphically both diffs if you have them)?
My drains were "pinched," according to the dealer -- a physical flaw that prevented water from freely flowing through them (water would back up in a column and spill out inside the roof somewhere). They "replaced" them--whatever that means. No problems since (a couple years now).
