This really should be fixable via software upgrade. I had it done years ago and it's never returned. You may need to go be more firm with your service rep.

My understanding is that re-flashing the ECU will fix it. But if you (or the other person who drives the vehicle) drive in a particular manner, you can cause the vehicle to "re-learn" the hesitation.

I'm really not sure, but it seems to me that the adaptive or "learning" feature of the transmission and its actual programming (ECU reflash) are separate. If what you're saying is the case, then my transmission should've reverted to its original behavior.

You may drive you car "properly," and therefore your transmission doesn't re-learn its bad habits. Previously on this board, people have suggested that driving the vehicle "hard" for a period of time stops the hesitation--perhaps that is the "right" kind of driving. Perhaps some sort of tentative driving pattern teaches the transmission ECU to select the wrong gear during a rolling stop.

I haven't really changed my driving habits....if I "taught" it to **** the first time then I should've taught it to do so again by now. I really don't think they're related...if you take it to the dealer and ask them to re-flash it then they ought to do it.

The Software update addresses code issues, not necessarily learning issues. Even if you're a "bad driver" the transmission should never **** the way I experienced it. The software update resolved the shifting issues I was seeing, and I haven't had any issues since. I would be hard pressed to believe that "learning" mode would dictate harsh shift engagements. But hey I could be wrong. :)

I've had SB036 and still experience the issue. Anyone else?

Has anyone been able to get a dealer to apply Bulletin#LA307-002 even after having SB036?

Its a software update simple as that. I had mine done and it was like driving a completely different LR3 from an almost stop.
