Will LR3 accessories fit an LR4?

Those 2 items will fit. Roof items stay the same. Interior items are different, except for mats. Exterior guards and other exterior 'bling' are different, except for mudflaps. Note: all front mudflaps are the same, rears change due to moulding changes in 2009, so 2009 flaps interchange...

    oil leak

Camshaft cover Gasket The only oil-bearing item above the head is the camshaft cover gasket. So that's a possibility. We do those from time to time. Other than that, ther'es not much more to pick at from the description. This is the same design cam cover Jaguar has used for years, and we do a...

    drilling licence plate ?

VUB500670 supercedes to DRB100390, anyway, they are both essentially flat plates that have indented (outdented?) areas to put screwws into the bumper, then you mount the plate flat to that. You esssentially end up with the plate floating a little over the surface of the A-bar or bumper. Still...

Miserably failed cross axle obstacle (need off road help)

Much of the above, especially the DSC, but just give a bit more gas. The car needs to fully reallize traction is limited before it starts implimenting the traction program. Some slippage and then off won't do it. If the car feels committed, it will go.

    Do-it-myself UPGRADE

I don't know your level of ability, but you do, so www.ownerinfo.landrover.com has instructions, take a look and decide. Really no rocket science, mostly carefull measuring.

    What size winch??

I always though the General Rule was GVWR X 1.5. Figuring you are moving vehicle weight + moving through whatever has you stuck. Bigger winch may = more draw, but if the power is there, the interval is shorter, and less overall load. 9000 My $.02

    Tow bar key

Good luck with your locksmith hunt. I've not been able to find one in our area, and we have some damn fine locksmiths. Sure they can make the Thule keys (thats what the cylinders are on the LR bars), but shoot, you can by a set of 2 for like $7. online. If you find a locksmith consider the...

    Approach/Departure for 08,09,10 LR3s

Cosmetic. It's formed different to eliminate texture to allow paint, but the dimensions are the same. FWIW if somewone was looking for an off-roader 05-08 w/texture is the best best due to the black arches and bumper corners. You can scrape the heck out of those with minimal evidence, and if...

    Approach/Departure for 08,09,10 LR3s

Land Rover LR3 (ground clearance: 9.5 inches; approach angle: 37.2 degrees; departure angle: 29.6 degrees; breakover angle: 27.9 degrees) - (Google) I'm to lazy to pull out my catalog this morning. 2005-09 all have the exact same off-road characteristics. The 2009 has paint on formally blach...

Can the LR3 be towed by an RV?

Nope. LR3 has no neutral position in the transfer box. There is no way to seperate the drivetrain from the rolling components. You could disconnects the driveshafts I suppose but from what I hear, that's not to cool either for extended travel. Being towed just wasn't in then design...

    Broken Fig Light Glass

Fog lights mounted in the bumper are only available as an assembly. Accessory lights mounted to the bumper or on a brush-bar have components available, but they aren't shown in the LR3 section of Microcat. The parts person needs to look in Range Rover to get a breakdown. Interestingly, the...

    Headlining color differences

Why does this have to be? It took me all of 15 seconds to look it up and see that all headliners are Mist Grey, as well as the pillar trims. I just don't understand why this has to be so difficult at some stores... I am glad you got it handled.

    Wipers making crack-back sound

Clean the glass like this. I knew Land Rover had a bulletin on this: TECHNICAL BULLETIN No: LRA501-002 Issue: 1 Date: 19 Sep 2007 CIRCULATE: TO ServicXe Mgr WarXra nty WorkXs hop BodyX S hop PaXr ts NOTE: The information in Technical Bulletins is intended for use by trained, professional...

    Wipers making crack-back sound

Try this: Back in the day, we had a bulletin on Cadillac vehicles for something similiar. The theory was that the windshiled would get grime deep into the micro-crevices and junk that normal cleaning couldn't get would collect, causing friction and grabbing the blade. The fix was to clean the...

    Cracked Fog Light lens

The parts #'s provided are OEM #'s for components of the add-on driving lights. It looks like Rover Connection has the lenses for a little less. Many delears will price match OEM parts, so heck, if you have a good relationship, maybe you can get it local @ that price rather than having it...

    Cracked Fog Light lens

Part # is VUB002450 Land Rover doesn't show a breakout for those lights. However, they do in Range Rover, which uses the very same lamp assembly in kit VUB001090. This kit breaks out the base, reflector and guard, VUB002480, VUB002450, AND VUB002460, respectively. I retail the lens...

Adaptive speed control?? / Steering wheel audio controls flip

second to umberbob Dedicated boards are attatched to those switches. I dissassembled all that to try to swap the audio controls and was defeated. I suppose an engineer type with 9+ DIY skill could hijack the circuit boards somehow, but for all intents and purposes, the effort to effect ratio is...

    Locking Wheel Lugs (OEM)

RRB500040 is listed for 03-05 Range Rover, which used a straight shank lug instead of a tapered seat. Difference is shown on this page: http://www.rangerovers.net/outfitting/tires/mkiiitires.html toward the bottom on the right. Range Rover kept the straight shank untill 2006, when they switched...

    power steering pump

Not a common issue. To quantify statistically, we sold a fair amount of vehicles, and I don't even have the P/S pump on the acvtive system. That means I've never ordered one, or at least in the past 14 months as the system wipes the # out after no activity. Very interesting...

    Side Protection Tubes

They are a nice additon to the look of the car, but... They do not function as Side Protection Tubes however. I used my car alot and at end of lease, they were dented dinged and crushed. I used them as more side feelers than anything else, after they took the first few dings. After that, I just...

    Electrical Help - power connection?

I tapped my Sirius I had up therre into the wiring for the power point at the bottom of the console stack. I figured that it is there to power ACC. stuff anyway, right? No problems over the past 42 months. For a how to, you'll spend some time in search, but the basics are to pull the trim on...

    Tire fitment?

265/65R18 is the size that most the BFG comes in that most people put on the LR3. A search for BFG or Goodrich or All-Terrain ought to bring down all sorts of info on that size. (I know you didn't know that, not an attempt to flame, just explain and provide more info.) Summary: Fit - yes -...
