    I don't have any play in the steering.........very tight. I really didn't have play in it before the new steering box. I just replaced it because the seal blew out.

    You don't have to hit a very big bump. Something small will do the trick and then it will shake the steering wheel out of your hand until you slow down. I can even hang out the window and see the tires oscilating. Wheel bearings seemed good today when checked.

    Thanks Joey. I guess one of the things that I have enjoyed about working on vehicles over the years is being diligent to take care of every item. I look forward to the routine maintenance issues and making sure that fittings are tight, greased, and in good condition. It is my form of therapy.
