I posted recently about the seal on my steering box going out and leaking every ounce of power steering fluid. Rather than have that one fixed I found a new box from Motorcars Ltd in Tx. for $350.00 (cheapest one that I could find). While my rover was down for that I had a new front seal put in and replaced the oil lines to the cooler. Everything is great except my steering wheel is just a bit off center. The alignment is not affected, drives just as straight as it did. Vehicles that I have had in the past (hotrods and project cars mainly) have encountered the same problem mainly after installing aftermarket steering wheels. I tood them to a front end shop and it was corrected easily. Can the same be done on the rover. A buddy of mine that has a small shop did the repairs for me for next to nothing and he felt bad, but for the price I told him not to worry.

I would also recommend Motorcars Ltd. to anybody......great experience and great price.

Yes, the steering wheel alignment can be done very easily... you could probably do it at home if you want to try... but yes a shop can do this in around 5 minutes.
