What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

Cooling fan was an emotional event. To remove, lefty loosey (towards passenger side), righty tighty (towards driver side) on the V6. At least Topix is making money off of all my weekly subscriptions.

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

Tomorrow was going to be transmission pan and fluid swap day, but this is how the new pan showed up: The ridge in the gasket is cut through. I debated on rubbing some ultra black on it and installing anyway....but I've decided to just ask the seller for a replacement. So now, tomorrow is fan...

    Parasitic Draw

I'm pretty sure that R6 is the starter relay. Lead to the starter may be grounded somewhere..

Front passenger axle threads stripped by axle nut...looking for advice

Inboard side is the second AutoZone picture I posted. The long shaft transverse through the axle carrier into the front diff. No different than any other axle, it is held in place by a circlip inside the front diff. The issue (hard part) will be reinstall. You need to be careful feeding that...

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

Dealer only sells them with the o-rings and Teflon seals (Teflon also should be replaced on reassembly). If you just need the clips, fcpeuro has them for a decent price.

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

I don't remember if the injector clips provide downward pressure to keep the injectors seated, or if they clip into the fuel rail. I do know that the workshop manual tells you to remove them before removing the fuel rail though.. so, I suspect the latter. That may be the reason that the four...

Little rubber bumper the top hatch comes down on?

Call one of the online parts dealers: landroverpartscounter, Land rover Tampa, etc. They have some fancy way of finding stuff--its what I had to do to find the rubber battery box plugs. Once they give you the parts number, Google is your friend. And please post here lol

My dash lit up like a christmas tree after driving in snow.

A bad Alignment can definitely cause issues. As @f1racer328 stated above, i had some of the same symptoms after replacing suspension components, but the alignment fixed that. Use the GAP tool to calibrate ride height. Complete the alignment. Then, under calibration, select ABS-brake module for...

Did you try calibrating the yaw sensor and steering angle sensor already?

    LR4 Parts Source's (SCV6)

For $67, that ACdelco Gold filter better actually contain gold.

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

So...about the exhaust manifold gaskets... I think I'll let an Indy replace those. Well, I started on the driver-side since it would be the hardest. Topix printouts were helpful, but did not convey how limited the space actually is. Basically, everything is in the way on the driver side: front...

Multiple Fault Codes From RSW solutions 4DSCAN Tool

Sometimes these things just go, and you could be right-on with causality between the map and exhaust components. The electrical / control systems are finicky, and sometimes have a cascading effect. I would Google all of the codes at once and see if there is a fault that causes the majority of...

Multiple Fault Codes From RSW solutions 4DSCAN Tool

Those are descriptions. The actual codes will help you better. especially, when looking at LR specific TSBs, or Topix files. Looks like bank 2 (passenger side's) second O2 sensor is going. The catalyst efficiency code on bank one refers to the sensor after the cat. Normally, you see that code...

Front passenger axle threads stripped by axle nut...looking for advice

Much cheaper at AutoZone and carry a lifetime warranty (if you weren't selling the truck). You will need the axle seal as well. Driver side: Passenger side: Axle seal: TZB500050

What causes the rear tires to look tilted?

You make a good point. I'm a "while-you're-at-it" kinda person and would end up replacing everything. "Well, the knuckle is off. I may as well replace the upper and lower bushings." "Well, if I have to get the bushings pressed in anyway, I may as well have new wheel bearings and hubs pressed...

What causes the rear tires to look tilted?

Could just be alignment. The rear alignment/components are a little more involved (need to press in wheel bearing and hub, bushings at the top and bottom of knuckle instead of ball joints....) There is also a camber bolt on the upper control arm; unlike the front uppers. I would start with an...

GAP Tool > "Clear Adaptive Values" for PCM = Reflash?

Adaptive values are related to variable systems---throttle position for idle, fuel injector pulse rate, a/F ratio and fuel trims, etc. The updated pcm software updates program tables and values based on observed necessity. The adaptive values adjust the programmed values in the pcm to ensure...

    FYI: SCV6 cylinder numbering

I found this the other day on Topix and meant to post it earlier. When I did need it, I could not find it on Google. Basically, the SCV6 does not follow conventional even and odd banks---passenger-side being 1, 3, 5; and driver side being 2, 4, 6. Hopefully, this helps someone to better...

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

I can relate. This long weekend SHOULD allow me to replace both exhaust manifold gaskets, motor mounts, and the thermostat. Cooling fan hasn't shipped yet, but that will follow pretty closely---this is all assuming my wife's to-do list has not grown in the last 15 minutes.

    2013 LR4 - Battery dead - Weird things - 3 options?

Leaving the door open wouldn't do it. However, where was the key? I've seen a few posts on here and other forums (and some notes on topix) that suggest that the gateway module remains awake and allows some parasitic drain at the QCM (upper storage box fuse box and control module) if the smart...
