So. Wet passenger Rear floorboards high next to the step-up below the C post. It's been a bit of a mystery as to why I could not figure this out. No water from the CJ Box, A-pillars have sealed clips and also caulking. Drain plugs are all clear and water on the ground when they are tested except...
Since we are talking about factory Hitch questions I will put this question out to the group. Factory Hitch and the small teardrop metal piece secured with an allen bolt I believe is MIA. Went to Land Rover and of course they were no help. Buy the hitch again.
Anyone seen a replacement part...
Need some help folks. 2009 LR3 HSE
Here is the situation. I am getting an intermittent loss of sound from speakers, mostly in the front. Music/Phone/Sat going strong then all of a sudden it is like we turn the fader all the way to the left or right. Then it comes back.
At the same time...
A picture might help a bit
So tried all those suggestions. The middle seat when the back is folded down decreases it a bit. Probably due to the weight on the bottom part of the seat. The attached picture seems to be the area where the rattle/clicking is coming from. Since this seat only lowers...
Ok Mystery rattle on the LR3 85K mi.
Its the rear middle seat. The non lifting/folding one. It seems the rattle is near the back attachment joint on the passenger side. Sounds like someone is lifting and dropping a small bar when I go over a bump. Had one of my kids sit in the middle seat...
Anyone have insight into carrying two Malibu Ocean Kayaks? Can you carry both? Do you use the factory roof rails or Yakima or Thule.
Finally any pictures with two kayaks on would be great.
Thanks for the input.

More info
Here are some pictures for you. Its black. No locktite on the receiver bolts that I can tell however the roof rail bolts have a blue substance on the threads. Locktite? Are there different types?
Anyone have any idea of the type of epoxy/sealant around the recover bolts on the roof where the roof rail bolts screw into? My receiver bolt back out on rail removal and broke the sealant around?
Fortunately the receiver bolt has a bottom to prevent and water from getting in.
Just want...
Alarm Codes
Is there a way (other than the dealer who wants $150.00) to see what sensor is triggering the alarm? Replaced the bonnet switch, it could be bad, but wondering if there is any other solution to the problem? A non hawk eye scanner?
Thanks
When you have the care in reverse you should hear/feel a clicking/ticking when you touch and closely listen to the sensor. If you don't then thats the one that is bad and will need to be replaced. Just did this repair on my 2009 LR3 and saved myself $250 bucks of labor from the dealer! Part war...
Anyone had any experience with adding these to their rig? Thinking about the short rails as opposed to the extended rails. It seems to me that they just bolt into the holes that the channel guard plugs fit into? The dealer wanted $250 to install but I cant think that they are that difficult...
Anyone want to lead me in the right direction to trouble shoot? They seem to be working but the sensor light on the dash is flashing orange.
On a side note not sure if related but the alarm has randomly gone off one or twice in the past few months. Battery is good. Load tested at the Auto...
All of a sudden I am getting lots of static when mostly braking on the AM band of the Factory Radio. FM is no problem however I do notice it as well now when you drive by close power lines. Seemed to start after my check brake light came on (Check Pads) LR3 is in the shop today for that issue...
Found It.
Well no kidding after a week and a half in the shop. Multiple techs and special listening devices to pin point the noise the final answer.
Driver side rear view mirror. "They Said" wrong one was installed originally at factory? Hmm didnt look any different didnt look at the removed...
Still at it
Well Day 3 at the Dealership. Still cant find the whistle! Ugg (I Do Have a Nice Loaner with 300 miles on it :-).
Service manager says he has never seen a LR3 with so much blue tape covering every possible wind noise spot? Removed A Posts so they should not even be a factor at...
So the 2009 LR3 has been in the shop for two days. Lots of Blue Tape in all of the suspect areas but cant seem to find the source of the whistle (Drivers Side Front Post Area)
Anyone have any experience with it?
FYI No Rack trim pieces seem all sealed. No prior damage. The curious thing is...
