Jump start short + puff of smoke = charging sys. fault

Correct. Apparently LR either doesn't have or won't furnish the front end for 13 LR4s, and they swap out the entire front end - cosmetic, at least. My wife binned my 2013 HSE and I just got her back after 5(!) weeks :hmpf: They had to swap out the entire front end for the 2015 parts as apparently 2013 are NLA. Grille was silver, but now is black, which I believe is the base LR4 trim color, i.e. HSE and Lux are silver. Does anyone know... -

Center console latch remove?
Thanks for the replies guys. Mine does not have a channel, or at least the little bit of a conflict-free route does not guide or hold the cable so w.opening and closing it falls right into the path of the latch or guide prongs and gets pinched or nicked. I need to pop the silver plunger-type... -

Center console latch remove?
Anyone had the silver latch assembly out of the console storage cover? My iphone cable keeps getting nicked and is a real PITA to manage so it doesn't get crushed and nicked. I removed the torx screws but that didn't appear the right approach. -

Changing key fob
Don't know for sure and I haven't played with it, but I would imagine could be done. I would just go carefully, check youtube for related vids. Worst case about $85 + $60-75 programming fee gets you new one.- theman

Lost key fob - source and cost report
Just to post recent experience with replacing a key fob for my 13 LR4, I got the fob from a seller on ebay (description for search below) and the (NY) dealer programmed it no problem for $67. Cost of fob was $85 + $6 shipping. $158 total. Much better than what the dealers quote. New LR4... -
