Hello - I've got a 13' LR4, 135K, 5.0L, that I'd like to do a transmission fluid replacement and I've got a simple question. Will a pan for a ZF6HP26 fit a ZF6HP28 transmission?

I want to get the newer split pan/filter like AB sells for easier install: https://www.roverparts.com/transmission/kits/ATFCK/ but they are out of stock!

I found another that might work, but specifies it's for a ZF6HP26 transmission, when mine is the ZF6HP28 [078BS]. Do you guys know if this pan/filter will work for the 28 transmission? https://www.oregonperformancetransmission.com/product/NTP-K79600M.html

Rock Auto doesn't seem to have one that is split, except for this one below, filter bolted to the pan ÜRO PARTS 24152333903PRM, but I don't want to have to jack up the engine to get it in.

Or if you guys know if another source to buy the split pan/filter for easier assembly, feel free to let me know.

Also, should I go with the Pentosin ATF 6, or the ZF Lifeguard Series 6 trans fluid?

Additionally, I noticed some posts about solenoids/mechatronics - Are there any additional items I should look at while I've got the tranny open?

On the OPT web site:
*This application could have had either the 6HP26 or HP28 version transmission. This pan only works on the 6HP26 transmission.

Yeah I read that, which is why it's confusing - the last sentence contradicts the first half. Plus this pan and bolt orientation looks identical to the Atlantic British part I posted originally.
Here is another one for sale that says it fits both the 26 and 28: https://www.transmissionpartsdistri...ion-filter-metal-pan-kit-aftermarket-fits-02/.

Was hoping someone had a known good source to the newer style pan before I drop the old one down and saw off the filter tube.

I purchased my kit from AB, which I think is just the kit from Britpart based on the packaging, which is just a kit from BMW since my metal pan still had the sticker recommending to use only BMW lifetime fluids.

Did you end up replacing the transmission pan/gasket on your 16 LR4? I am considering doing the same. Advice? Looks like it is considerably smaller than on previous (2013 and older) LR4's?
