Hi, having problems again with my RR.

I used the car the other day but left the tailgate open for a few hours, then the next time I came to use it the engine wouldn't turn over when trying to start.

I though I'd killed the battery ( it is quite old ), so put it on charge for a couple of days. A few times during charging the alarm activated, even though the car was locked.

So, I've bought a brand new battery and still no joy, turn the key to pos 3 and no response. I've checked the starter moter, it turns when given power directly, and also the engine will turn when the solenoid and starter are given power directly.

Even tried the key in pos 2 ( normal running ) and jumped the starter to turn the engine but it will not fire. There is fuel in the rail.

The key activates / de-activates the central locking, I've reset the key-fob when replacing the battery and also gone through the EKA procedure. A friend also had the RR diagnostic on his PC, plugged it in and no errors or apparent code issues.

Help please ??

Thank you.

Your alarm has been activated... try unlocking and locking the door with the remote 4 times in a row.
