I own a 2000 Disco II, and I'm just trying to get my head around whether or not I can do the replacement job on the front brakes. The replacement parts look pretty straightforward; rotors, pads, and a Phillips-head rotor screw, but I need to know the following:
1. Do the new rotors need to be machined before installing?
2. Is there a torque spec for the rotor screw?
Anyone do this before? I've replaced brakes a few times, and consider myself to be relatively mechanically inclined, so unless there are special tools or techniques, I feel pretty confident I can do the job.
Thanks for your help!
