2000 DSII Electric motor under the hood?

Thanks everybody for the responses. Here's a picture of the motor/pump that is making all the racket. My plan is also to pull the filter but I'm not to hopeful on resolving the noise without replacing the unit

I pulled mine off and drilled out the rivets. I couldn't get the fan off the shaft, so I went to the other end and took off the switch. I put a drop of oil on the shaft bearing and jump wired it to a spare battery with a remote start switch to test it. Boy, does it blow air! It ran smooth with no problems or noise. I suspect the rumble noise is due to the 3 rubber isolator mounts being worn out. I will try to get replacements and see if that helps the noise.
