Hello,

I have a 2001 Disco II with about 90k on it. It has repeatedly had the check engine light come on. Ive had the codes read and replaced what they say to replace. MAF and all four O2 sensors are new. Here are the latest codes from O'Reillys:

p1172
p1175
p0150
p0174
p0159
p1300
p0306
p0302
p0308
p0300
p0304
p0172

The truck runs fine upon start up but continues to get rougher as you drive. At a stop light it idles very rough but goes away when put into neutral. It has a very strong sulphur smell from the exhaust. Someone says could be a sensor, others say computer... I don't want to take it to the dealership and would rather try to fix it myself because I do have a parts vehicle. I have owned it for about a year now and this has progressively gotten worse.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

So, you posted this same thread on another forum. Before any help might come from us, you need to go get your codes read again, then clear them. Once the light comes back on say after a few hours of driving, get back to us with what ever codes come back

P0300,P0302, P0304,P0306,P0308, P0174 all lean codes. The smell of sulfur means your cats are way too hot due to the lean mixture.

I had a lot of these codes Disco Mike had me start with a comprehensive compression check on all cylinders. Due to the codes on cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8 start on the even ones first. the smell of sulfur may be an end result of you running for a long time and you may have burnt out your cat on that side. It may not be the reason that the cat is burnt out though. check the compression on each cylinder several times and compare your results.and post the results on the forum.
P0300 codes are random miss fire codes and can be caused by many things vacuum leak bad O2s. MAF, bad Cats, Head gasket leak, cheap fuel.
Start with the compression check.
