I have a 2001 Discovery II. It has been boiling over. Did a compression test and exhaust gas test myself. No indication of a blown head gasket. I have heard they can be intermittent so not sure how figure that out. I suspect the head gasket because of leaks happening on the hoses after the event.
Has new cap and thermostat.
Heard the Discovery II is prone to overheating issues.
Any thoughts? Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Yes sadly both the D1 and D2 are known for head gasket issues. Not crazy expensive, but needs to be done before you warp the heads or the block.
