Also for you LR3 owners, do not go by Rovers service manual or you will have diff. t/case and tranny problems.
All those components need to be serviced on a regular basis for they can and do fail at a high rate.
Start doing these services as we have done on all other Rovers for ages, you can not expect a tranny, diffs and t/case to go 100,000 miles or more before even checking the fluids much less changing them.
Just food for thought.

HVAC/Climate Control;

Symptoms: A/C does not cool immediately nor consistently. Interior floorboards/carpet wet.

Known problem: Vent tubes that serve to drain water from evaporator in/above heater box under dash/behind center console can become blocked which allows water to build up around the evap. coils impacting cooling efficiency.

Solution: check drain tubes (one on each side of evap. housing) which run down to and through the floorboard to permit water drainage.

Hint: if you ever find your floorboards wet (driver, passenger or both) with no indication of a water source, i.e. windows up when it rained, etc...its likely that your drain tubes are blocked, the evap. has filled up with water and its (water) is actually draining from the housing into the interior of the vehicle.

Repair: easy, as simple as blowing compressed air through tubes to clear them.
