2006 LR3 Problem

Guys just found this site. Been browsing for answers to my problem with the LR3. First it started with the transmission not shifting at all. Next day was driving fine. A couple days went by was not shifting again. Next day driving fine again then started getting warning lights and transmission faults. After reading on the forum I decided to change the brake light switch, all the faults went away drove fine for a day now it is not shifting again. My question is what would cause it not to shift? I can shift it manually with no problems. I am going to change the battery and brake and tail light bulbs next. Thanks

This is crazy but I think I just figured it out. It is not doing it as long as the lights are off as soon as you turn the lights on it will not shift. I changed the headlight a couple weeks ago it ran fine after that but going to change all bulbs again.

The lights are not your problem. If it "fixes it" temporarily, the timing is coincidence.

Just out of curiosity, what's your battery voltage? Both with everything shut off and also with the engine running (lights off and then lights on)?
