Has anyone confirmed if this damper is already installed on 8-speed 2014-2016 LR4?
I have 2015 LR4 with 90k miles. Drivetrain kicking if I let the car roll in traffic (not pressing on gas or brakes and car is rolling slowly forward) and then pressing on gas (it doesn't engage smoothly, but instead kicks, and I hear loud boom sound).
I don't know if this damper is the solution, or problem is deeper inside (like transfer case chain stretching, transmission mount giving up, problem with transmission itself). I do not have any strange vibrations at 2400-3000 RPM like reported in TSB or in posts above...

The damper helps with strange vibrations at 2400-3000 RPM.

The damper won't help with a kick/boom situation, which sounds like valvebody/shifting to me?

I've been stalking these part numbers on/off for years, they've been out of stock everywhere or I couldn't find it. I finally go a hold of it on Rimmer Bros and installed it. I seriously tapped out the hole since 2019. 20220810_172957.jpg

This thread helped me out a lot, thanks to everyone who posted. Adding info that might help someone else.

TECHNICAL BULLETIN LTB00305NAS3
Vibration damper IAI500100 / LR094511

Purchased the parts from Scuderia: https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/part/1092676/landrover/lr094511/damper-vibration.html

My 2013 LR4 did not have the hole in the transfer case threaded. Bolt & Nut Supply in SLC verified that the IYP 50080 bolt needed a M10 x 1.50 tap. Tapped that hole using a vice grips and WD-40, torqued the bolt to 55 lbft, and the damper eliminated around 90% of the vibration around 2500-3000 rpm. The LR4 drives so much better now.

Picture of the correct tap for this bolt is attached. This was the first time I'd ever used a screw tap, it was easy, and worked perfectly.

It's been reported elsewhere, I Can't remember who, but the supplied bolt from Land Rover is supposed to be a self-tapper. But when I did mine, I used a separate tap also. Great fix, but now my trans plate from APT won't fit with the damper installed :(
