I run 89 mostly and sometime 87 when I wanna be cheap which you can do, but then every other week I run 91 and then book it down the highway near 100 mph and that cleans out the engine pretty well, and I have over 200,000 miles on mine. Definately do not run 87 for a long time, and I usually run 89, and with 89 I have no problem, but definately hit the highway every now and then and do near 100 just to blow the carbons out of your engine, this is really good for car. The head mechanic at a dealer told me to do that and I noticed better power and better fuel economy after doing it a couple of times. I'm no speed demon, I do the speed limit but every now and then hit 100, which is pretty much the limit for my 4.6
