I have a 97 Disco. I love this truck and the only problem I have with it this. For some reason and not all the time the truck will not shift from 3rd gear to overdrive. It is a V8, 4 liter engine. I had the tranmission taken a part and cleaned with new filters and fluid and thats only helped for about a week.
I have noticed this. When driving away on a warn day no problem. Wet or cold day it may happen it may not. To correct the problem all I do is pull over to the side of the road, let sit for about 30 seconds to a minute and then I hear a click from the right hand side of the vehicle while sitting in the cab. Once that click sounds away I go with not trouble for the rest of the day or trip. Any ideas what is going on here? Anyone else ever hear of this or have this problem????
