Hi,

My D2 was running rough and I discovered no spark at plugs 5 & 8. I have a basic code reader and no codes came up. As both plugs on the same coil, figured it was the coil. Replaced coil with a new one and still the same. Swapped over the coils still no spark at 5 & 8. Plug leads are Magnecor 8mm and not that old

Anybody got any ideas?

Did you read my post Mike? Plug leads are Magnecor and not that old. Plugs are irrelevant (there is no spark going to 8 & 5).

Problem fixed. Broken wire on the plug going into the coil. A bit of cursing, some swearing, bit of solder and an hour and a half later she is running sweet!

Boy, did I miss that one, sorry, glad you found the problem.
By the way, have you dealt with your front drive shaft yet regarding the lack of grease fittings? You should have 3 grease fittings, 1 on each u-joint, if not get back to me.

Thanks Mike,

Yeah, swapped out the front shaft after I lifted the truck.
