Are there various modes that the DII alarm goes into?

Lately mine has been honking the horn when I lock the doors. Does that mean one of the door sensors is shot and it's telling the system that a door is open? It works fine, except for over night ; when I walk up to my truck in the morning the unlock button will not open my door and I have to use the key.

Not a big deal, but I'd still love to have things working properly ; I remember my 99 DII didn't honk the horn when you locked the doors and I never had this problem of the keyless not working after a certain period of time.

Sounds like the battery in the key fob is going dead, or the sensor under the hood needs adjusted.

Hey Thanks Joey -- I think the key / fob battery is OK ; but I'll replace that today anyway.

Where is the sensor under the hood located?

I don't recall off the top of my head if it is on one or both sides, but it will be right on the fender and look like a rubber push button (kind of a spring look) if it has been bumped or miss aligned it can cause some issues.
