Good day,

I have a 2001 Disco Series II SE7. I came to this forum when I was researching the wet carpet on the passenger side. I found an answer with clear directions on how to remedy the problem in about 5 minutes. That mad me very happy. Now I have a few other issues that I am hoping you smart people can help me resolve easily and inexpensively (it is a Disco, not a RR HSE, after all). 1) Nephew broke key off in drivers door. ANy ideas on how to get it out that won;t involved paying the dealer an arm and a leg? 2) Dog ate remote/key; any suggestions on best place to buy replacement key? 3) Horn used to get stuck; hubby got mad and pulled out plastic horn button from steering wheel; then the wires stuck out and he hated that so he tore those out too. Is there a fix short of buying a new wheel and inerds?

Thanks in advance :):hmpf:

Metal part of key is cheap maybe $30, but the remote part are not check... over $100 even used on ebay. Getting key out of door (locksmith) maybe $30-$75 depending on where you live...

Horn buttons, before the wires were ripped out, $30 for new buttons on ebay (I know I sell them) New wiring harness and springs and Buttons.... I can do for $60 brand new at the dealer $100+ On Ebay maybe same as my price, but my buttons will not break again... I even warranty them for a year. Get someone else to offer that :)

Send me a PM and I will take care of the buttons and wiring, Key... sadly I would like a second remote as well but I don't want to pay what they want either.

Can get the blanks on ebay for $10. I popped in to the Jacksonville, FL dealer and after showing my registration as the owner he charged me $10 for a new battery after switching the circuit boards out. Screw paying $324 for a set!
