My cameras have been intermittently grayed out (including backup) and the audio will have brief gaps when the cameras are in grayed out mode. 10 seconds of sound and then 2 seconds of silence, wash, rinse, repeat. I will also hear an occasional *popping* sound from under the center of the dash behind the display screen, like a Tupperware lid being opened or closed.

Then it all goes back to normal again for no apparent reason. Considering getting it replaced/upgraded, but if it works then that's fine for my purposes. This latest upgrade might be one to check out, but I watched the installation video and it looks intimidating with all the tearing things apart and unhooking wiring harnesses. Plus, I'm not sure that would solve my camera problem.

Just wanted to share my experience with the Mr.12Volt integrated CarPlay solution (Model No: P2000-LR41MM).

Installation was a breeze—especially with the help of their video guide. On my first attempt, I accidentally reversed a ribbon cable, which caused the LCD to display vertical lines. Once I corrected that, the rest of the install was surprisingly straightforward.

The OEM controls remain unchanged, and accessing CarPlay is super simple with just the press of a button. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical going in—others on this forum have had mixed results with different solutions, so I assumed this one might be a bit rough around the edges too.

I chose (well, more like tested) this setup because I wanted to maintain the OEM look of the dash, use the MOST system for audio output, and have a modern CarPlay experience like I do in my other vehicles. Before this, I was using an iPod Bluetooth dongle, which had quite a few limitations.

One additional challenge I’m working on now is getting the Bluetooth Control Module to function properly. At the moment, the screen just shows:
"If your vehicle has the phone feature fitted, please pair and/or connect your phone."

I found a YouTube video ("Faulty Land Rover Discovery 4 Bluetooth Module" on the Buy It Fix It channel), where the creator disassembles the module, tests the PCM chips, and ends up replacing two capacitors to bring the unit back to life. I’ve ordered the same components from Amazon and will report back once I try the fix myself. My goal is to be able to connect to the OEM Bluetooth and make/take calls independently of CarPlay.

Note: This setup is strictly for 2009–2011 LR4s with the first-generation MOST 2.0 system:

I have not been having much luck with the mr12volt. First I was sent the wrong module. It took a little back and forth to get that sorted. I got what I presume is the correct module as it says "Discovery 4 2012-2015". After a little more trouble shooting I got my phone to connect and the screen to respond, but there's still something wrong with the can bus and or most system. I get almost every error under the sun with the module connected. I've tried to different harnesses and two different fiber optic cables. If I disconnect the module and go back to the factory wiring all of the errors go away.

Thoughts? Should I just return it and give up on this idea?

*Couple little tidbits for those that do try one of these things. For my model year I needed to hold down the CD eject button for 10 seconds to switch between the box thinking the screen is resistive or capacitive touch.

**My vehicle build date is 05/15, so a late MY 2015.

***Any guesses why they don't include the 2016 model year in the compatibility?

I'm trying to install a stereo in my 2011 using the spiral audio harness. I'm super confused on this fiber optic jumper they include. Does anyone know how this connects?
