I was told that there is no need to recalibrate. I also run the BF AT's-have had them for a few weeks now-so far no problems.
By whom? With the size difference I'm looking at, its a 5% slower reading. Speedo will read 60 when going 63, 76 when going 80.....
I find it hard to believe that the ECM cant be modified for tire size, especially since they sell them with two different size tires.
Just an update on this.
First, I called the service advisor about getting the recalibration done, and he stated that I needed to make an appointment to have it done. So unitl, I make an appointment, take it for what its worth. Wether he really heard what I asked, and it can be done, only time will tell.
Second, we just got back from our 2500 mile trip from Seattle to eastern Montana and back. Coming back we ran into LOTS of snow and ice, and am I ever glad I decided to pull those street sweepers off and put on some real A/T's. They handled wonderful in the snow.
On the bad side, they made the LR a little tough to keep pointed in a straight line while running 80 down the freeway. It defintiley made it an "active driving experience". It wasnt a pull to any one side, it was a constant left-right tendancy to wander.
They do look good also. I'll try to post some pics when I get a chance.
