I was looking at a 1998 range rover 4.6 and I can't tell if the body style is the same as the 2000 range rover. Is there any differences between the two? Because there's a 1998 with 40k miles and a 2000 with 60k miles but the 2000 is like 4,000 bucks more. Just wanted to know differences.

If I recall correctly they are the same... you are paying the extra because it is newer. If both have the same options... get the 98, there is no real differences between the two.

they are the same. say...why don't you consider a '99 4.0 It's only slightly slower molasses than the 4.6

Well, I wouldn't mind having a 4.0 but the 98 is a 4.6 so I'm getting the bigger engine for a really good price. I think I'll go with that. Thanks guys, you're great help. I'll post pictures when I pick it up this weekend.

IIRC the only body changes between those years were the clear/smoked ambers, smoked headlamp surrounds & a painted front bumper & side mirrors. More significantly, the engine changed to the Bosch/BMW & it had dual exhaust & only 2 O2 sensors.
