Ok did a brake job on my disco II and while torquing down one of my wheel lug nuts the bolt/stud snapped off. It's a pressed in stud so I called the local dealer to get a new one. They said this part is anot available separatey and that I had to buy the whole hub. They also siad there is no way to get it past the bearing retainer if I wanted to put a new one in...

Is this all BS? Seems they should be able to be replaced (Ihave not tried pushing it all the way back thruogh yet).

I guess worst case scenario I get something with the same thred and weld it into the hub.

Ideas?

First, how in the world did you snap the lug off?

Second, I am not sure if you can order/replace them seperatly or not. Either way I would contact Will Tillery @ Roverguy.com and I am sure he can get you a good deal on either the lug if removable or the whole hub.

No I Do not receive any kind of kick back or anything from Will... just a fellow Rover guy.
