Hi
When replacing the door lock actuator on the drivers side rear door, is the entire door removed? If so, can the door be adjusted for better fitment? The door giving us trouble had its lock actuator replaced recently.
Basically, we noticed a lot of wind noise coming from the drivers side rear door. I thought the main seal was probably worn (75K on the truck) until I looked closer at the door. When the door shuts, the entire top of the window frame wiggles noticably. Also, the gaps between the body, and each the front and rear doors (when shut) are different than the gaps on the passenger side of the truck. I'm not talking about a gap difference via tape measure either, One one side I can stick my finger between the door and the body when shut, and on the other I can't.
The truck has not been in any accidents, I purchased it new in 2001. Any ideas? How much gap is acceptable? Can I adjust the door or should I just replace the seals?
Thanks
John
