CD Changer

Hi!

I am trying to eject my cd cartridge from my 6 disc changer in a 2003 LR Disco se7. When I push the putton to eject it, no noise, nothing. The cds work fine, as if nothing is wrong. All cds will play, the cartridge just wont eject. I dont want to buy a whole new system, especially if it still works! Is there a trick I am missing to get this out? Thanks.

Try pressing and holding the button... button may be dirty or gone bad.

This happens to me often

I slam it with my fist and it usually comes lose. These are the worst manufactured cars ever..

Thanks...it seems to be stuck and will need to be looked at, but does anyone have an idea as to what models or brands of car stereos are an identical match for my 03 LR Disco? Id love one that had the ipod jack to bypass the whole cd changer mess...just a one disc in the dash! I just dont want to put one in that isnt compatible. I asked at Best Buy and they just say that any stereo will work. Im no car stereo expert, so I thought Id ask!!!! Thanks.

Any stereo will work with effort, but the factory rear speakers may not work anymore, and the radio controls around the steering wheel will not work without additional wiring.
