Hey Gang,

New here, great forum...

I am considering a 2004 G4 out in California, I am in NJ. I was wondering if 16k for a G4 with 59k miles on it is crazy. I know the Blue Book value is cheaper and know the G4 is a limited edition vehicle and all. The carfax seems perfect and just wondering if this is a crazy move.

Thanks in advance for any input!!

Welcome to the forum... Personally for the money I would say you could almost buy 2 2004 D2's maybe not with 59k on the clock, but I wouldn't spend that much. But then again I have a friend that is in the process of selling his 97' D1 with 120+k on the clock for 6k, he does have lockers and big tires, but my opinion is it is worth less than 3k. So I guess it is up to the buyer.

Does it matter what we think if you are happy with it?

Thanks Joey, appreciate the feedback. I know its up to me, really just trying to see if this 2004 G4 is overpriced or if its in the "range," ya know? Its my first Landy so just trying to get a gauge.

Thanks again Joey...

Yes, it's too much to pay. Too far away. Limited editions of any vehicle reach price parity in only a few years. Just my opinion.

If you don't really need a G4 and just want the features of a 04 them look at $10,000 for a non G4.

Disco Mike hit the price about right. In 2009, I bought a 2004 Discovery. paid $9500 with 52K, all options. Repairs = head gasket & incidental valve job because the heads were off.

It took me 2 months of checking eBay looking only at the 2004's. There are usually about 7-14 2004's for sale at any time.
