I've had 940 Volvo's for yesrs and condsidering a change. Considering a 1998 Discovery Automatic with 176K miles. What things should I look for and/or be concerned about? What kind of gas mileage can I expect from the 4.0L V8? Looks pretty tight under the hood. Are they easy to work on?

Easy to work on, I Would say yes... that high of mileage though, if it hasn't been taken real good care of you will be working on it a lot.

Also fuel economy is not really an option with a Land Rover Depending on accessories and how you drive I would say between 10 and 15 MPG
