the tac obviously is affected but the spedo does tend to go whacky at times but not always, also the spedo only goes crazy when the issue is happening. yes have tryed downshifting it happens in any gear. from dead stop and or if i shift down. but not in neutral or park.

If I were to guess since the speedometer it may be a bad VSS....

This can cause the issues you are talking about.

where would be the ideal place to aquire a veicle speed sensor? every web site i try to do a search for it on comes up w no matching results.

If your speedometer is jumping, then the VSS is probably the issue, I would call Nathan for the best price.
