Changed the battery on my 98 disco. We all know that the radio will reset it self. Punch in the code nothing. Call LRN 800-637-6837 to verify code same code. The radio wont except it. Dealer wants $75 to take radio out and get the serial #. Hell $50 more will get me a decent one at best buy. ***!!!

Remember you can only enter the numbers and make no mistakes otherwise it auto starts over and you may not notice if you don't hear the beep.

As long as it comes up with enter code you can enter it.... but if you hear a beep after any key has been pressed that means that you have exceed the code length. And you need to stop entering and restart.

Example: 3, 2, 5, beep (stop and restart, it means you may have accedently fat fingered a number...

My big question is have you ever successfully entered in the code on the radio in the past?

If not it might be worth it to remove the radio and get the serial number. Just need to pick up the cheap removal tool. Less than $5 you may even be able to borrow one real fast at your local radio installer.
