Diesel conversion???

Has anyone looked at the possibility of a diesel conversion for a '96 Disco?

Just curious on costs and challenges.

Look at East Coast Rovers, I know they did a 300Tdi conversion on a Disco. It's not cheap. They even say on their site that it'll take 10 years at current fuel costs for the engine to reflect savings.

And, diesel prices are increasing....

I'd heard that they weren't really doing them anymore anyway. I think you'd need to budget $10k to get started and go from there, as in 20%-30% over that may get it done. I love the idea, but sheesh.
