I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2014 LR4 order to replace my 2010. I like the idea of doing the 20" wheel, but want to know if anyone has done the same and experienced any change in the driving experience and / or fuel economy.

Thanks!

You'll have a much better selection of off-road tires if you go with the 20". Pretty slim pickings for those of us with the 19" rims.

The 20" are pretty but too expensive IMO, but more importantly too little sidewall protection. Yes, the "wife factor."

I have the 19" wheels with the Cooper Zeon LTZ tires and I am planning to go the 18" route. I think the 20" look good on the LR4, but way too little sidewall protection if you go off roading.

What 18s are you looking to get, if you don't mind me asking? And are you doing so because of all your off-roading?

The only option for the LR4 are the Compomotive 18" wheels (they clear the brakes). A couple people have used other wheels and fabricated them appropriately, but most folks on this forum who switched to the 18" wheels purchased these:

The PD1880 model.

Yes, I would like a more capable off road tire and more sidewall protection.

My 4 cents worth - I just went to 20's LR style and love them  Yokohama Parada Spec-X 265/50

Not off road tires but thought I'd share

BTW FS: factory 19's with 25995 miles on them and they are mounted w/o TPMS w/LR green standard caps.
