This post is for my 2004 Discovery G4 w/ 60,000 miles. Recently got the Service Engine Light. Checked codes: P0300, P0301, and P0306. Understand that these are for cylinder misfires. I replaced plugs w/ Bosch Platinum +4's and reset the light and ran fine. After about 120 miles of highway driving, Service Engine light came back on. What's next, new plug wires? Any help steering me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

toss the +4s and buy platinum champions... buy new wires, and clean the MAF.

I have the +4's in all my vehicles and had no problems. Am I missing something? Also, what brand of wires do you recommend? I came across Magnecor Wires on a different post. Is there any special things I need to change the wires? IE...gaskets or anything. I thought I read somewhere that you may need a new manifold gasket??? Also, to clean the MAF, just disconnect and spray out with MAF cleaner and put back? That seems easy enough or maybe I just jinxed myself. Thanks again. Kevin

Plugs, rovers don't like much other than champions... Cheap ones in the D1 and platinums in the D2.

wires, I use Magnacores, but this is a preference.

MAF just clean it as you stated.

Do I need any gaskets to replace the wires? Everything I've read says that unless I have small hands (which I don't) I am screwed. Any ideas? Also, is it premature to start looking at seafoam? Thanks again Joey, I really appreciate it!!!

You can replace the wires without removing the intake, but if you want to spend the extra money and almost 2 hours to remove/replace the intake you can. I would give it a test run first and see if you fit your hands behind the intake.
