I have a 1998 Disco that is making a rather annoying and loud noise under the hood particularly in lower gears and at higher RPM levels. I suspect that it is the fan clutch stuck in the on position so that the engine is always powering the fan. Does this sound like a likely problem, and can anything be done to fix it aside from installing a new clutch fan?
