I have no experience in lifting a vehicle of any sort.
I would like to lift my 1999 TD5 Discovery II by 2 inches (50mm).
This is partly to provide a little extra ground clearance for off grid camping with trailer and also for aesthetics.
I will not be extreme off roading or competition.
Therefore I wish to retain the original rear air suspension.
(Please don’t tell how much I should swap it out )

So, to my question a comprehensive list of :
What hardware is required to achieve the above ?
What adjustments might be required to achieve the above ?

Buy and replace your current springs with the Heavy Duty Springs that are compatible to your year's LR. They're manufactured to raise your vehicle's front and/or rear by 2". As for the adjustments, if you're driving a 1999 LR, you probably have a seasoned, go-to Land Rover mechanic that keeps the vehicle healthy. They'll do it right.
