Does the LR3 2006 have a Locking Fuel Cap?

I can't seem to be able to lock my fuel cap. Every car I've had for 10+ years has had a locking fuel cap. When I hit the keychain lock to lock the car, I can just push on the fuel cap on the outside of the car, and it opens. There appears to be some sort of latching devise in it, but not sure if this is to actually lock it somehow or the clasp simply is a closing clasp only. Any ideas if this is a standard thing on an LR3... if so, I'll have the dealership fix it next time I'm in.

No. It's not included in North America... all model years so far. (FYI: You can't siphon the tank, so it would only be protection against casual vandalism -- remember, anyone can pry off the "locked" cover if they wanted to.)

Also, use search... covered before.

I wonder if we can buy the parts from Canada and retrofit it to the US version. Anyone experience this?

Can't you just buy a locking gas cap? More secure than a locking cover anyway.

Yes, a locking cap would be more secure. I was just avoiding having to add another key to the ring.
