ECU's

Just wanted to know if the ECU for a 4.0 and 4.6 is the same...? I hear different answers everywhere I go, wanted to get some opinions. It's gotta be different a/f ratio, no?

Thanks. Was thinking about upgrading to a 4.6 in my D1, but I want to here expert opinions first. Might be best to stay original?

I may have misread your question. A D1 may take a different ECU, where as a D2 uses the same.

Might want to look at Roverlandparts.com at their list of ECU's, there are a bunch of different units for the D1 by age none looking like the D2 unit.
