My 2006 Land Rover LR3 was left on (not running) over night, came out this morning and the battery is dead. I jump started the vehicle and received a system error message stating "Engine System Fault" "Cruise Control Not Available". Is this directly related to the battery dying overnight, and would the solution be to purchase a new battery?

I did attempt to drive the vehicle when I first jump started the battery, there was absolutely no power, it wouldn't go above 10mph.

My closest Land Rover dealer is about 2 hours away, so finding a resolution to this instead of driving 10mph on the freeway would be ideal.

Any suggestions?

Land Rover do weird stuff when the batteries are dying. If it's been running good, I would replace the battery. I'd be surprised if a new battery didn't fix it.
